Review : FING When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I was afraid of any type of monster or weird creature. Ironically, after the age of 5, I fell in love with monsters. I loved the ones in horror movies and the way each one had unique features, which at the end of the day brought the horror movie together. This brings me to the book I read most recently. In fact, I just finished 10 minutes ago! It’s about the Meeks, a family of three. Mr and Mrs Meek are two humble and kind librarians. They fall in love and eventually get married. They have a child, who they name Myrtle. Well, you must expect Myrtle to be an angel from heaven as her parents are so gentle and altruistic. Well, guess what…. You are so very…..wrong!!! Myrtle was anything but an angel. She was unkind, cruel and most of all, snobby. Believe it or not, she would threaten her parents. Poor Mr and Mrs Meek had no choice but to obey her not only because of her tantrums but because they loved her no matter what. On her 10th birthday, Myrtle demanded something very weird and unusual. She wanted … a FING. If you’re wondering what a FING is, well even Myrtle didn’t know what it was. This puzzled everyone. Her parent went through books and books in the library and soon found out what a FING was. It was a…. I’m not going to tell you. You are going to have to read the book and find out. Here’s a hint: The name of the book was MONTERPEDIA… I would like to end this review with a quote by David Walliams, “All you can do in life is follow your dreams. Otherwise you’re just wasting your time.”
